US-101 will experience lane closures for nine weekends from June to October 2024. The next weekend closure is scheduled to take place from 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9 – 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11.

The project will repair, extend and optimize the transportation system and ride quality by rehabilitating the freeway pavement, upgrading the median barrier, replacing loop detectors throughout the mainline, installing rumble strips, signs and striping within the project limits. The tentative overall construction is scheduled from summer 2024 to summer 2025.

On/off-ramps will not be impacted for this work.

Upcoming scheduled work includes:

  • Work around Marsh Road interchange, which will occur the weekends of Aug. 9, 15 and 23, dependent on progress.
  • Work around Willow Road interchange, which will occur the weekends of Sept. 6 and 13.
